NOMINATIONS FOR PARISH COUNCIL

The Christian faithful, incorporated in Christ through Baptism, are sharers in their own way in Christ’s priestly, prophetic and royal function.  All the baptized are called to exercise the mission which God has entrusted to the Church, using their particular gifts and talents.  The members of the Parish Pastoral Council serve in an advisory capacity to assist the Pastor in the governance of the Parish and his pastoral care of the Parish.

The members of our Parish Pastoral Council represent various active ministry groups in the parish (Liturgy Committee, Finance Committee, Social Committee, Social Justice Committee and Education Committee and a representative from the youth of Parish).  In addition, three additional members are appointed to represent the diversity of parish members.

The Pastoral Council usually meets four times a year to review the pastoral needs of the Parish and recommend new initiatives which they believe will strengthen communion among the members of the Parish, foster their spiritual growth, and enable them to be effective missionary disciples, for the building up of the Kingdom of God.

At the present time, the terms of the appointed members have expired, and we need of a Youth representative.We hope to have a full council for the coming pastoral year beginning in September.

If you are interested in serving on the Parish Pastoral Council, please speak to Msgr. Kroetsch at your earliest convenience.  If you would like to nominate a fellow parishioner to serve on the Council, please give his/her name to Msgr. Kroetsch (after getting their consent).
